Facebook “Whistleblower” Fast-Tracked to Meet Jan. 6 Committee
Frances Haugen could talk to the House select committee investigating the Jan 6 Capitol riots as early as Thursday, according to CNN, citing three sources.
The committee wants to know from the former Facebook employee, how the platform was used to organize and encourage violence.
Rep. Adam Schiff appeared to signal on Monday that Haugen would be speaking with the House committee, tweeting: “According to the Facebook whistleblower, shutting down the civic integrity team and turning off election misinformation tools contributed to the Jan. 6th insurrection.”
