Despite being abolished by the Biden administration, the 1776 Commission established by President Trump to develop a patriotic education curriculum lives on.
The commission's executive director, Matthew Spalding, told Just the News that the panel is staying operational despite losing its federal charter and shifting its focus to state and local education. A Web site and new social media presence are forthcoming.
Spalding said the 1776 Commission, which holds the belief that America is founded on the principles of the Declaration of Independence, and Critical Race Theory, which holds America is an inherently racist country, cannot coexist.
"They had to abolish the commission. And it's important for everyone to understand that. We don't have two different conversations going on here, as in one is about 1776 history and the other one is about, you know, identity politics, critical race theory, and these other ideas. The fact of the matter is that this dominant progressive view about systemic racism and critical race theory, identity, politics, equity, whatever term they're using, they keep changing their terms … that's not merely an opinion, that must reject the other way of doing things. These things can't coexist."

The Nigerian government on Friday announced it is suspending Twitter operations in the country indefinitely.
Twitter suspended Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday for “abusive behavior.”
Buhari tweeted a warning to ‘insurrectionists’ on Thursday so Twitter stepped in and suspended his account.
“Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War,” Buhari tweeted.

White House dismisses idea but spy agencies not convinced.
Russia-based cyber attacks on Western targets are under intense scrutiny from U.S. spy agencies working to decode whether Vladimir Putin knew about the hacks, and to what extent, intelligence sources told Just the News.
"This is key to unraveling what happened with these hacks," said one U.S. government intelligence official, who is not authorized to speak to the press. "The big get is, did Putin know, and if so, when did he know it? But also why were these launched, and why now?"

MSM Wastes No Time Using Senate UFO Report To Promote Arms Race
After more than two years of UFO 'evidence' via the New York Times detailing dozens of encounters between Navy pilots and unidentified aerial phenomena, the punchline - according to an upcoming government report, is: 'we don't think it's aliens, but it's not Americans' - and therefore America should probably spend untold billions on figuring out how to make 90-degree turns at mach 5 and disappear into the ocean, after disabling a nuclear installation.
Or, as journalist Caitlin Johnstone puts it: The MSM is wasting no time using the UFO report to promote an arms race.
It turns out that the US government found no actual evidence that UFO sightings by Navy pilots were actually alien. But Russia and China were blamed, again. The sightings remain unexplained in a highly anticipated Department of Defense report.
The report also found the vast majority of incidents documented over the past two decades did not originate from any American military or other advanced U.S. government technology, according to a New York Times said, citing senior administration officials briefed on the report headed to Congress in June.
Many of the 120-plus sightings reviewed in the classified intelligence study from a Pentagon task force were reported by U.S. Navy personnel, while some involved foreign militaries.
